Forest Residues

Fundación CoMunidad and Modest, together with strategic partners from the academic and private sectors, have been developing an initiative that is based on the use of forest residues, where the research and development approach is implemented for the production of new products, integrating  access to markets and income-generating opportunities for family farmers.

The Forest Residues project aims to promote the circular economy in order to reduce waste, recover resources at the end of the useful life of a product and channel them back to production, thus significantly reducing the pressure on the environment on natural resources, also the management of materials that could contaminate the water, increasing local income and strengthening community networks.

Emphasis is placed on the development of forestry skills, promoting artisan techniques that are recognized as an economic source and training in new ways to develop products beyond crafts in order to adapt to market trends in the region. present.
